Wednesday and it's orienteering today

New snow on the mountains (not visible in the photo below but around behind the forest!). Today's event was at Lavarone, a small ski resort type town surrounded by mixed forest (beech, hazel, various conifers etc) with rocky features and lots of contours, providing some tricky orienteering to challenge the "Out-of-practice" and those unfamiliar with the terrain, good fun. Weather cold and showery, with some bright periods and the odd clap of thunder. The WOC race finished in the same place after the hoi polloi had finished, so there was quite a crowd of spectators and general razzmatazz. And another lake beside the finish but no takers for swimming!

And here is Robyn checking out a historic farm building and the way from bus to event area...
